Behaviour Interventionist

Pacific ABA Academy is currently hiring behaviour interventionists to join our agency. Employment duties will include:

  • Providing home-based 1:1 discrete trial and natural environment teaching utilizing the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis.
  • Accurate data recording on standardized data sheets.
  • Participation in monthly team meetings, overlaps with the behaviour consultant or senior interventionist, and any professional development workshops provided through the agency.

No experience is necessary as intensive theory and hands-on-training will be provided. However, first priority will be given to applicants who possess some experience working with children diagnosed with Autism utilizing ABA techniques such as Lovaas, Verbal Behaviour, or fluency-based instruction.

Job Qualifications:

  • Applicants must be 19 years or over.
  • Must have completed a criminal record check and provide a copy to Pacific ABA Academy.
  • Emergency child care (First Aid) certificate required but can be completed after being hired.
  • Must be enthusiastic, dedicated and committed to work with children who have behavioural difficulties.
  • Must be creative and innovative.
  • Need to demonstrate leadership abilities and work effectively in a team.
  • Hours are flexible to accommodate other employment or school-related commitments.
  • We are currently experiencing intakes from families of various cultures, so applicants with an ethnic background (Cantonese, Mandarin, Hindi, Punjabi speaking) are also highly preferred. Must be fluent in English.

Speech and Language Pathologist

Pacific ABA Academy is currently recruiting for a licensed speech and language pathologist to work with our clients diagnosed with Autism and related disabilities.

Summary of Job Description:
To screen, assess and provide consultation and treatment techniques for preschool children with Autism and related disabilities. The S-LP is expected to work collaboratively as an active team member with the behaviour consultant, family, and ABA team. This is a "sub-contractor" position with a great degree of flexibility.

Job Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree or equivalent
  • Must be a member of CASLPA
  • Vehicle required

This position is perfect for individuals who already work full time or have their own practice.

Salary range: $35.00 to $60.00 depending on experience and qualifications.

Volunteer Program

Pacific ABA Academy is currently recruiting for volunteers to join our group-based ABA Program. This is a perfect opportunity for young teens or adults get some volunteer experience to add to their resume or log hours for various school practicum requirements. This position is very flexible.

Job Qualifications:

  • Applicants must be 13 years or over.
  • Must have completed a criminal record check and provide a copy to Pacific ABA Academy.
  • Emergency child care (First Aid) certificate required.
  • Must be enthusiastic, dedicated and committed to work with children who have behavioural difficulties.
  • Must be patient and able to follow directions well from supervisors.
